As customer demographics and motivations change, so must banks. As legacy infrastructure begins to crumble, new foundations must be built on top of agile, interoperable, cloud-based tech stacks. As new market entrants - from FinTechs to tech giants - eat into banks’ market share, business models, organisational structures and internal culture must evolve. Top down transformation is the name of the game, and flexing to digital demands so much more than technological innovation.
