On average, there are over 7 million Tweets around E-commerce every month. 70% of Twitter users visit an online store first and make a purchase online. Twitter's research shows that Asian millennials are more likely to shop on mobile apps than Western millennials and, more likely to adopt mobile payment than their Western counterparts. Even for the mobile resilient categories, we're seeing an increase in consumers' intention to buy on mobile. As consumers warm up to purchasing even their furniture online, mobile commerce disruption is expected to go mainstream first in Asia.
