Chen Yu has been a leading figure in the internet, e-commerce and software fields for more than 20 years.

Before creating YeePay, a widely used internet payment platform in China, Yu served as director and product marketing manager for Oracle, the software giant based in the US. He was in charge of developing global strategic partnerships and marketing the company's application server products and internet and E-commerce solutions.

Yu also has held IT positions at John Deere and AT&T Bell Laboratories, and he once served as a director of the Silicon Valley China Wireless Association. Yu was granted a Master's Degree in computer science by the Illinois Institute of Technology in the USA and a Bachelor's Degree in computer science by Peking University.

Yu was listed among "China's Top 100 Influential Names of JinYing in the Smartphone Circle" in 2010, and he also is on the list of EC100 Influential E-businesses in China in 2013.

Yu is dedicated to active exploration and innovation in the internet field. In 2013, Yu acted as advisor to the “Internet Era”, a full-length CCTV documentary series, and he personally planned the interviews with well known figures in the internet industry across the US, including: Mark Zuckerberg from Facebook; Elon Musk from Tesla, SpaceX and SolarCity; Renaud Laplanche, CEO of Lending Club; Mike Morhaime, founder and CEO of Blizzards; and Michael Moritz, well-established investor from Sequoia Capital, among others. He also had in-depth exchanges and discussions about the internet spirit and industry trends with the following men who are regarded as the soul of the academic and scientific world: Hartmut Esslinger, godfather of industrial design; Kevin Kelly, the author of Out of Control; Chris Anderson, the editor of Wired; and Vinton Cerf, father of the internet. Yu also has visited world renowned American universities such as Stanford, Harvard and University of Chicago and he continues to seek ways to tap into the mysteries of conceiving cutting-edge technologies and developing human wisdom.
