Priya Sharma is the CFO and COO of ZestMoney, which is the largest and the fastest growing consumer lending fintech company in India. Priya’s understanding of the fintech industry has played a crucial role in shaping ZestMoney as the first completely automated consumer digital lending platform in the country. Today, ZestMoney caters to more than 5 million registered consumers and Priya is at the helm of Finance and Operations department. 

Priya’s expertise in investments, acquisitions, strategy along with her years of industry experience pushed her to start ZestMoney along with her co-founders in 2015. 

Prior to her journey as an entrepreneur, Priya was with Wonga, responsible for looking at international markets from a strategic perspective. She was also at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where in her role, she advised companies on mergers, acquisitions and strategic decisions. Earlier, Priya had served as management and technology consultant for Deloitte and Sapient Corporation. 

Priya Sharma holds an MBA from London Business School and B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology – BHU. Priya has played a crucial role in developing the concept of ‘EMI without credit card’ and envisioning making life affordable to more than 300 million households in the country, who currently have no access to credit cards or any other formal financing options because of insufficient credit history.

Priya often participates in discussions regarding policy making, market dynamics and has been representing the fintech industry in global platforms.
