Yinglian Xie is the CEO and co-founder of DataVisor, the leading AI and big data analytics company that protects consumer-facing enterprises from a variety of fraud, abuse, and money laundering activities. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, and worked at Microsoft Research Silicon Valley prior to DataVisor. Her work combines parallel-computing techniques, machine learning and big data algorithms, and security-domain knowledge into a new theme of solutions to prevent and combat attacks ranging from fraudulent online payments, account take overs, spamming, service-abuse and user-hijacking attacks, to search-result poisoning and malvertising attacks. She holds over 20 patents and has been widely published in top conferences and served on the committees of many of them. Yinglian’s work has helped improve the security of billions of online users.
